What is the FranCa portal for students?
The FranCa portal for students is a self service portal for all enrolled students. Here you can access and administer your personal data, re-enroll for the next semester, download various certificates, and register for exams. You can now file requests for leave of absence, reimbursem*nt, exmatriculation, and much more directly through the portal!
I am already a student at Frankfurt UAS, but I forgot my password. Where can I get help?
First, please make sure you are trying to access the portal for students using your CIT credentials. Should the problem persist, please contact the CIT Servicedesk.
Which credentials should I use to log into the FranCa portal as a student?
Please log into the FranCa portal using your CIT credentials. Please access the portal for students via the Choose your portal section on the left side of the homepage.
Should you still not be able to login, please send a screenshot of the error message to the Student Services Center via studienbuero(at)fra-uas.de.
Where do I get my credentials for the CIT account as a newly enrolled student?
After you are enrolled as a student, your credentials for the CIT account, i. e. your CIT user name und an activation code, and therefore the FranCa portal for students will be posted in a red box on the main page of your FranCa portal for applicants.
Examinations registration/deregistration
Where can I register for and deregister from examinations?
It is not possible anymore to log in to the HIS-Portal.
You can register for and deregister from examinations via the FranCa-portal for Students under the quick link "Apply for exams".
I can't access the registration for exams in FranCa!
If you click on "Apply for exams" within your FranCa portal for students and are shown the log-in page of the HIS portal, you need to change the settings of your browser in order to be able to access these functions.
You could also try using a different device, like an Android mobile device or a Windows or Linux computer. On these devices you should be able to access the exam registration without having to change the browser settings.
Step 1 - Redirection
If on an Apple device (iOS/iPhone) you are asked to open the empedded page in a new window, please click on the link. You will be redirected to the exam registration in a new browser window or tab.
Step 2 - Cookies
If an error message is displayed saying that Cookies need to be activated, please open your browsers settings and activate or allow the use of cookies.
In some cases it will be enough to delete the cookies from your browser cache (please don't delete your saved passwords!).

If you are using an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, Mac. etc.) on iOS using Safari as a browser:
Please search for "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking" in your Safari settings and deactivate it.

Please go to "Settings", open the entry "Apps" and go to your preferred browser (Sansumg Internet or other). Within the data security settings you will find the entry "Smart anti-tracking". Please change the setting to either "Secret mode only" or "Never".

Application
I am already a student at Frankfurt UAS and want to change my course of study. Do I have to register in the FranCa portal for applicants in order to apply?
Please apply via the application portal uni-assist if you hold a university entrance qualification or a bachelor's degree from outside of Germany. As soon as your application has been forwarded by uni-assist, we will create an account for you in our application system, FranCa.
I am already a bachelor's student at Frankfurt UAS and want to apply for a master's degree course. Do I need to register again in the FranCa portal for applicants?
You do not need to register anew in the FranCa portal for applicants. You can apply for new degree courses directly through the FranCa portal for students in the section Your applications.
Please note that in order to apply for a master's degree course you need to have completed at least 80 % of your credit point workload of your bachelor's degree course.
I have applied for a degree program and would like to know what the status of my application actually means?
You can find the status of your application on the overview page of the FranCa application portal. If you click on the status on the right-hand side (blue button), an explanation of the current status will open.
Changes to Personal Data
I have moved and want to update my address. How do I proceed?
Please log into the FranCa portal for students. You can update or change your address under
Student Service - Contact data.
My name has changed is incorrect in the database. How can I change it?
Please file a request for change of personal data in your FranCa portal for students. You can find the request under
Student Service - Requests - Changes to Personal Data.
Clarifications
There is a locking in my FranCa portal. How do I proceed?
Lockings can occurr for various reasons. They prevent you from re-enrolling for the coming semester. Please contact the Student Services Center in a timely manner, if the reason for a locking is unclear.
How long will my CIT account and my student email stay active after I am exmatriculated?
Your credentials will stay active for 30 days after your date of exmatriculation or at the latest until the end of the respective semester. Please secure any relevant emails and certificates before or right after exmatriculation.

Where can I find a transcript of records in my FranCa portal for students?
You can still download your transcript of records from the old HIS portal. Via the quicklink Exam Administration on the FranCa portal's main page you will be guided directly to the HIS portal.

Where can I find documents for my visa process?
Students of Advanced Architecture, Global Logistics, High Integrity Systems, Information Technology, and Renewable Energy who obtained their master's entrance qualification outside of Germany can download three documents from their FranCa portal for students:
- presence letter
- English as medium of instruction
- late arrival letter

Semester fees
I want to re-enroll for the next semester. Where can I check the semester fee for the upcoming semester?
You can find the re-enrollment fee in the section

I have transferred the semester fee. Where can I check if it was credited to Frankfurt UAS?
In the tab Payments you can check if the semester fee was credited to Frankfurt UAS. Additionally you can verify the payable amount as well as possible differences. Please note that it may take up to a week before the information in your portal is updated to show your payment.
